Code of Practice

All members of SPRO adhere to this rigorously. This will be updated as required in order to stay up-to-date with our practices and methods. On joining SPRO, all team members will sign the said document without exception. On signing of document, you will be legally binding yourself to the Code of Practice and Code of Conduct.

We are committed to maintaining the highest degree of integrity in all our dealings with potential, current and past clients, both in terms of normal discretionary confidentiality, and the protection of all personal information received in the course of providing the services concerned. We extend the same standards to all our clients, friends and associates. Research information will be stripped of all personal details and we will not pass them on to anyone outside of the team.

We always conduct our own services honestly and honourably, and expect our clients, friends and associates to do the same. Our advice, assistance and the methods imparted through our training, take proper account of ethical considerations, together with the protection and enhancement of the moral position of our clients. We will never charge for any services we provide, nor will accept any donations (either monetary or otherwise) as we view this as unethical practice.

Our actions and advice will always conform to relevant legislation, and we believe that all businesses and organisations, including our own, should avoid causing any adverse effect on the human rights of people in the situations we deal with. We have a strict duty of care to ensure those contacting us - whether vulnerable or not - to be treated fairly, sensitively, respectively and without prejudice.

Due to the sensitive nature of our services, we will not exploit past, present and future clients for either monetary gain or infamy, and we will not divulge confidential information about clients - even after the cessation of services - to any other teams, groups or businesses without the express permission of said client. This includes social media sites.

We retain the moral rights in, and ownership of, all intellectual property that we create unless agreed otherwise in advance with our clients. In return we respect the moral and intellectual copyright vested in our clients' intellectual property.

We maintain the quality of what we do through constant ongoing review with our clients, of all aims, activities, outcomes and the effectiveness of every investigation and visit. We encourage regular review meetings and provide regular progress reports. Further details are available on request.

We conduct all of our activities, training and investigations professionally and with integrity. We take great care to be completely objective in our judgement and any recommendations that we give, so that issues are never influenced by anything other than the best and proper interests of our clients.

We always strive to be fair and objective in our advice and actions, and we are never influenced in our decisions, actions or recommendations by issues of gender, gender identity, race, creed, colour, age, sexual orientation, religion (or lack thereof) or personal disability.
